Texas Law Requires First Time College Students up to Age 30 
to have Meningococcal Vaccine for School Entry.

She contracted meningococcal
disease at the age of 22. She  lost both legs, some fingers and the function of her adrenal galnds.

He died at age 19, his freshmen year at college.

She was told not to vaccinate in fact she was refused the vaccine because she did not live in a dorm. Jane died at age 22.  Her best friend died just a few years before from meningococcal disease.

She lived off campus.
She ask for the vaccine. She was told no need to vaccinate since she was not in a dorm.
She died at age 21.

He was in a junior college a star pitcher. Told no need to vacinate. He died at age 19.

He was on a summer trip with his brothers. He died at age 17.  There were no requirements for, or education on meningitis. Texas adolescent  mandates would have prevented this. Vincent's mom Joan helped Ryan's mom
Frankie to change this with middle school requirements in 2009.

He was a first round draft pick for a pro base ball team at age 19. Meningitis struck and took all that away.

He had just graduated high school. He planned to live at home for his first 2 years in college. There was no education on the disease nor the vaccine then.
He died at age 18.
His mom Frankie help change that in 2001 with SB31 requiring education for all college freshmen, signature of acknowledgement and a wavier of vaccination refusal.

She was in college before mandates or education. She died at age 20.

He started college under a law from 2009 that only
required those students living in dorms to be vaccinated.
He died at age 20.
His dad Greg led and was joined by other parents including Ryan and Vincent's moms to change that  law to SB1107 the one we follow now .

He was 21, in community college, being scouted by the pros for football . He was told  no need vaccinate. Meningitis took his legs and hands.
