Each year the Houston Shell Open and Birdies for Charity raise millions of dollars for charities. The golfers make birdies during the week of the tournament. The numbers are usually anywhere from 1500- 2000. Last year the number was 1,856 The Houston Golf Association allows us to keep everything we raise on this event.
Thousand of infants, children and young adults are left severely debilitated from bacterial meningitis in the US each year Some die. Meningitis Angels Heaven and Earth Bound, Inc. is dedicated to education of the public, medical profession, schools daycares and the government on bacterial meningitis . In this process we educate on many other infectious disease preventions.
Where your money goes.
Because many of our Earth Bound Angels (survivors) are left with some of these disabilities, limb amputations, organ damage, deafness, blindness, brain damage, paralysis, and more they have special needs to continue their education and assist in their health and emotional needs.
When funding is available, we assist with these needs by, buying special computers and programs, health aids not covered by insurance and many other aides to make their life a little easier. In the future funding available we hope to give scholarships for technical training and/or college, start in person support groups and more.
Family and friends of both Heaven and Earth Bound Angels often need emotional
support.
We currently have (6) International support chats a week and add new ones all
the time.
