Author Unknown Dedicated to Lexie Bear on her 2nd birthday to Heaven, Love Frankie and Bob and the Angels Lexie's Story Michele, Chris, and Christopher would briefly like to share with you the story about their beautiful little angel named Alexa Taylor. "On February 8, 2002, our beautiful healthy baby girl passed away at the age of  7 months and 3 days. She left behind her Daddy, Mommy, big brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved her very much. Her unexpected and premature passing was due to a disease called Meningococcal Septicemia. This is a very rare form of bacterial Meningitis which invades and poisons the bloodstream. It is fatal if not treated promptly and with the correct antibiotics. There is a vaccine available Menomune, which is only administered to college students and is safe for children 2 and over . However, at this time there is no effective FDA approved form of the vaccine available for infants  Babies especially are at risk due to their inability to communicate the symptoms rendering them helpless. We need this vaccine approved to give smaller children a chance!!!!

On Alexa's  birthday in July , Over 300 people came together to remember her. Included were  family, friends, Angels and her community all  Walking to raise money  for Angels.   Her family plan to make this an annual event in her honor.  Find out how you can participate in this wonderful event.
