Vaccines are not just for children. The American Academy of Pediatrics
recommends specific vaccines for teenagers and college students.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention recommends
meningococcal vaccination for adolescents aged 11-12 years.
For those not previously vaccinated, immunization is recommended before entering high school (about age 15) or for college-bound freshmen, planning to live in dormitories.
