The Vaccinators are an educational project of Meningitis Angels  are comprised of Pre-teens and Teens  who are  meningitis survivors, both Heaven and Earth Bound Angel family members and friends.  They work through their music, dance and personal stories to educate their piers about the importance of healthy living, vaccine preventable diseases and the importance of immunizations to prevent them. All rights revered and may not be use, copied or distributed in any way without permission of Angels. No Exceptions !!!

Meningitis Angel and Vaccinator Carye Wynn receives her meningitis shot and Tdap booster for school. Carye is a member of the Vaccinators. She speaks publicly about the disease and prevention.

The new recommendations are for 11~24 year olds to be vaccinated against meningococcal meningitis. Check with your doctor, college health clinic or health department today.

There are also recommendations from CDC/ACIP for 11 and 12 year olds for a tetanus, diphtheria, HPV and pertussis/whooping cough (Tdap))  booster.

Recommendations for infants, toddlers and those in day care to be vaccinated against pneumococcal meningitis.

Make sure you are up to date on all of your shots. It can save your life.

ALERT Meningitis is a 911 Emergency:
Do you know the early signs of meningitis and blood poisoning which could improve detection of the disease and save lives? Unrelenting fever, leg pain, cold hands and feet and abnormal skin color can develop within (12 hours) after infection long before the more classic signs of the illness such as a rash, headache, stiff neck, sensitivity to light and impaired consciousness, debilitation or death.
Anyone can get meningitis especially infants, children and teens.


What parents should know:
According to ACIP/CDC children ages 11 years through college freshmen should be vaccinated against meningococcal meningitis. Infants and toddlers should be vaccinated against pneumococcal meningitis. 

 

The Vaccinator's stories, photos or names may not be used with out the authorization of Meningitis Angels, the parents or the Vaccinator's themselves. No Exceptions!!
