Breanna was born on May 14th, 2002. A beautiful
healthy baby girl, 6lbs 7oz, 18 3/4inches long! Her father "Gator"
nicknamed her Weeble from the beginning. He has a nicknamed so she
would too
!
On Mother's Day May 12th 2003, Weeble, became ill so I took her to the ER.
They said it was just a little virus and would go away. Two days later on her 1st birthday she was still sick and Gator took her to her pediatrician who said the same thing the ER said, "Just a virus". She slept for the next day and a half, didn't eat and couldn't hold her head up.
On May16th 2003, I rushed her to the ER crying. I couldn't wake her up on the ride there. They tried for 3 spinal taps with no luck. They transferred her to a Children's Hospital in Orlando. She went into seizures and had a stroke.
She has damage to 1/3 of the left side of her brain and small parts of the right.
On May 21st ( my sister Andrea's Birthday) the doctor said over and over, "She wouldn't make it through the night". I was crushed and had to make unbearable calls to let everyone know. That afternoon Gator, myself and a family preacher rubbed oils on her and prayed for help! She made it through the night!! On May 23rd (MY Birthday!!) she came around and seemed to be doing much better! She was discharged from the hospital on June 6, 2003!!
She has been through a lot of MRI'S, EEG'S and other tests and plenty of seizure medicines but, Thank God SHE IS ALIVE!!
I love my Weeble more than anything and would have been a lost soul without her!!
